ClassVR named an AR/VR “trailblazer” for the third year in a row
Chicago, (DATE, 2025) — ClassVR from Avantis Education, the leader in virtual reality technology for K-12 schools, has earned a win for a third year in a row in the Educators Pick Best of STEM Awards. The 2025 awards program, run by Catapult X and judged by STEM educators across the country, recognizes standout products, technologies, and services that are changing the world of STEM education.
ClassVR won in the “Trailblazer: Immersive Reality (AR/VR)” category for the third year in a row.
“We are consistently working to ensure our products provide the best experience for our customers – the teachers,” said Avantis Education’s Chief Marketing Officer Gillian Rhodes. “This award is especially meaningful because it is voted for by teachers. It recognizes our commitment to helping educators bring innovative VR content to their students and serves as further validation of the value ClassVR brings to the classroom.”
The awards program, operated in partnership with the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), MCH Strategic Data, and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT), is judged by a panel of expert STEM educators in a two-part evaluation process that involves a live demo followed by a popular vote.
Used by 2 million+ students in 250,000 classrooms in 90 countries, ClassVR is an all-in-one VR/AR solution that offers educators instant access to an expansive library of curriculum-aligned content, including 3D models, 360° experiences, and interactive lessons.
This year Avantis launched Eduverse+, a powerful new content suite to support STEM initiatives. It brings together EduverseAI, WildWorld, STEAM3D, and CareerHub – delivering immersive experiences that engage students through exploration, inquiry, and experiential learning.
“This year, AI was a new focus for our judges as many cutting-edge products are now integrating AI into their STEM offerings,” said Daylene Long, CEO of Catapult X and founder of the Best of STEM Awards in a statement announcing the winners. “Winners also stayed true to what research shows us works in science and STEM: hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and three-dimensional learning.”
