Avantis Education, the global leader in virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) solutions for education, has published its 2024 Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Highlights Report. Following its commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2040, a decade ahead of the UK government’s target, this latest report details the company’s latest ESG milestones.

Key ESG performance highlights include:

  • 25% reduction in absolute emissions from 2022
  • 54% of energy generated from renewable sources
  • Zero-waste to landfill in the UK
  • 81% overall engagement score in latest employee survey
  • Rolled out Electric Vehicle Scheme for staff

The report demonstrates Avantis Education’s ongoing commitment to making a positive and sustainable impact on communities, people, and the planet. It marks one of several steps the organisation is taking to foster a better future through innovation, accountability, and purpose-driven action.

“The ESG Highlights report reflects the breadth of our work thus far and outlines our near and long-term actions and targets. I am confident that Avantis Education’s commitment to sustainability will inspire the very students we exist for, and other companies in the education industry to take similar action so that together, we can work towards a more sustainable future for all,” says Huw Williams, Chief Executive Officer.

“I would like to thank all our stakeholders – clients, investors, board members, and employees – for their unwavering support of our ESG agenda. Together, we are making meaningful progress, and I am excited to continue this journey in the years ahead.”

To further positively affect behavioural change and reduce negative impact, Avantis Education is working with a leading ESG consultancy firm to advise and identify new opportunities for improving ESG performance.
