Avantis Education Hires New Business Development Manager to Support Expansion in New York and Throughout the U.S.

Jared Grabina brings extensive experience in sales and edtech to the role

Chicago, (April 20, 2026) — Avantis Education, a global leader in virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technology for K-12 schools, is bolstering its U.S. sales team with the hiring of Jared Grabina as its new business development manager.

Grabina will work with Avantis’ reseller Teq to expand the use of Avantis’ flagship ClassVR headsets and (VR/AR) content in schools in New York and throughout the country.

“I got interested in edtech pretty early on. I remember seeing my math teacher use an interactive whiteboard for the first time and recognizing how different the experience felt. It changed the way I perceived math and sparked my interest in it. That’s really what led me to start thinking more about the role technology can play in the classroom,” said Grabina. “What I enjoy most now is working with something I actually believe in. ClassVR is one of those solutions where, when you show it, it just makes sense. It’s practical, it’s easy to use, and you can immediately see the impact it can have for both teachers and students. Being part of the Avantis team is a great fit, and I’m excited to keep getting our solutions in front of more schools and districts.”

Grabina brings a strong track record in education technology sales and business development. Most recently, he held leadership roles at Inspirit, where he was promoted to Senior Sales Director and helped drive significant growth. He also previously worked at Teq, which earlier this year became the exclusive reseller of ClassVR in the state of New York.

His experience in the New York market, including familiarity with New York City Public Schools, gives him valuable insight into one of the nation’s largest and most complex K-12 education systems.

“It’s important for us to have someone who understands the unique needs of school districts in New York City,” said Avantis Education CEO Huw Williams. “Jared’s experience in New York will be critical as we look to grow our presence in the city and his familiarity with our exclusive reseller in the state will help us build partnerships with New York schools to support student learning through immersive technologies.”

“Jared brings strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of the needs of today’s schools,” Williams said. “He will help administrators make informed decisions about immersive technology solutions that best support their instructional goals and budgets. His experience, relationships, and passion for education technology will make him an incredible asset to the company.”
